Had one drop on a spot before coming in as the northerly ruined the day, plenty of these down there according to the sounder. Released.

too much sashimi
Too much for one man, don't really want to kill something that I'm not going to eat. Will wait till I get a small tuna or something. Got this guy on a plastic, sure the jigs would have gone off but it started to get a bit ugly out there and I wanted to have a cray dive on the inside.

That link says that Hiramasa is YTK, but Hamachi is neither YTK or AJ.
Its Seriola quinqueradiata or yellowtail AJ, and its a distinctly different species to both YTK and the local Amberjack which is Seriola dumerili.
