Yeh it took me about 20 minutes to just get off the beach and past the first turn in the track... had the tyres so low my gauge didn't read it.. just chugged out in 1st low the whole way back up. Great fun with a car full of drunks. This was my bucks party trip, 2 days before my wedding.. we even caught a few salmon!

Old Times
This takes me back 30 years... I used to live around the Mt Barker area and play lots of sport. Now and again we would get togethher as a bunch of blokes and hit Bornholm. In those days there was no real access to the beach and we used to scale the sand slopes to get to the beach.
The way back was very much harder and great footie training. A back pack of Salmon and the empty stubbies (we were concieous of the envirnonment LOL). Man it was hard work but well worth it. It's a magnet feeding ground. Schools of Herring getting hammered by the Salmon and a heap of sharks giving the Salmon some....
Fond memories

Thats what I thought! But it was surprisily hard to bag the couple salmon that we did. That hole even had a reef run out to the left! Bornholm is a great beach as it has reef/limestone patches all along, good fish magnets.
