25kg sambo on PE2
Submitted by hlokk on Sat, 2009-02-21 23:23
Jigging for snapper and dhuies out on Nebraska charters. Had a massive hit, and run. Managed to pull in a little, but couldnt gain any line. Pulled it around the boat, under everyones lines and took it out the back. The fish just went on screaming runs taking out heaps and heaps of line. Just kept the pressure on, managed to recover a little line before he took it all back. Kept repeating that for ages, but finally got the fish up. Biggest sambo, biggest fish at 25kg, and at 20lb on some nice light line

Hi Massanet, I assume by
Hi Massanet,
I assume by glue you may mean some type of gel to attract the fish.
You can get some types of gel sprays and paints (coloured paints - mainly for soft plastics) attractants for lures however these are not generally used for jigs of the type in Hlokks picture at the top as they don't normally stay on the lure long. That being said it doesn't mean you can't use them. May help to put a rubber squid or something over the hook and put gel type attractant inside the squid as this would help it to stay on and disperse. Just be sure it doesn't cover the hook point
