G'day mate, the Zereks are a cracking' lure. They can have a tendency for the hook to pop out or slide down so the hook tip is exposed. I use them and if your flicking into snags or rocky bottom you will need to readjust each cast, I find hooking the point into the rubber helps hold it in place. Dont be stressed If the tail sits up further I reckon it looks more realistic, especially on the drop.

My tips are you can't retrieve them slow enough & don't mix them in with other plastics or else you'll end up with a gooey mess!

Cheers!

Barra

I used them on barra last trip. Whilst they get hit often enough I had problems hooking up and lost faith, and they are not very durable. I am not sure what type of fishing you do but the stand out lure of the trip were Transam 95's or the  Thready Buster. They are dynamite.

 Interesting you say not

Interesting you say not Durable..They are a 'hard' soft plastic and held together by Kevlar matting. Ive had a lot of reports from guys pulling up big flathead and other toothy critters in which their teeth were actually hooked in the matting! I will agree with the hook up rate being a bit off though...dropped several fish during a day of product testing on the bigger sized Zereks

The head

I had no problem with the tail. That seems pretty tough. Where the hook went through the front of the head is the issue. Probably no more or less so than any other soft plastic, but at $8- $10 a pop it gets a little expensive!!
