just wondering which line would float more
intended for ballooning
need a line that will stay on top of the water and wont sink
which has proven most to float on top of water and not sink?
mono
braid
or
dacron ?
cheers heaps

Dunno about dacron but most
Dunno about dacron but most mono lines that I've used sink and most braided lines I've used float. This has mostly been noticed when fishing unweighted baits on primarily lines under 10lb

you can get specific floating mono
but probably not in the size you are after. We used to use styrene cubes 1/2 hitched every 30 or 40 metres when livebaiting Jervis Bay. Does the job nicely. Something else to think about>>>Mono has better abrasion resistance around rocks than braid.

Yep
Braid will float more, but will sink after a while unless you keep the rod tip nice and high.
Only problem is no stretch, and you should use a good shock leader at the rig end to help stop bust offs on strikes.
