Where are the squid???

Is it just the wrong time of year? Are they missing? Or do I just suck at squiding?

I've tried land based, and on the boat.  Absolutely zero luck.

Want to try land based again tomorrow. Anyone care to share a spot that's working at the moment?

Thanks

They have slowed but the sizes are bigg ATM, I got 12 the other night in an hour or so but the average hood would have been 25ish with a few around 30cm. Just head straight of the natural jetty at woodies and drift in weedy patches in 3-4m. The last few trips ive found you need the jigs right on the bottom also but there are pleanty around just put the hours in and suss out what areas, depths, jigs, times ect produce best.

yeah cockburn has been the place of choice for me in the yak lately just drifting the weedbanks near woodies, i have found that orange has been the standout colour followed by the white. best jigs have definatly been the ika range of jigs and sephia exile all fished really close to the bottom ,
