new pets, the marron !!

recently my mrs bought a cple of marron from a local seafood shop, $8 each and they were small, so instead i have put them in the fish tank, they seem happy so far,

but does anyone know what i can feed them with, feeder fish or pellets, I have 2 large cichlids that now get on nicely with them, enjoying the tentacle massage haha,

cheers

yeah done some research, they should be happy in 26degress, in the tank, feeding them with my cichlids, but my big green terror seems a little out of home, the female loves them, playing with them haha,

very interesting, gonna add some more plants tomorrow,

small cubes off potato

Tue, 2011-11-01 06:53

when i was younger i used to catch them in the lake near my house haha and keep them as pets.... i started off feeding them mince and cheap bits off meat but if they didnt eat it the water just turned murky and i had to change it quite often.... i was then told by a mate to feed them small cubes off potato and they absolutly loved it and i didnt have to change the water anywere near as often

hope this helps

I had several in my large and crystal clear koi pond - ph changed slightly and the dog found them walking down the pathway away from the pond - tried putting em back ..........they still walked yet, oddly, out of no where a few jilgies have appeared - cannot work that out ??
