If your boat based mate, myself & Ryan (Owner - Oceanside) has been doing well in the lower reaches ie Mosman Bay & Blackwall Reach areas but more so in the deeper waters. Using the Large nets and baiting heavily with tuna heads, If the crabs arent there in one spot then dont be affraid to move your nets. Even if it is just a short distance.
ive said this previously but if you have a large fish carcus around the 1m mark dumping it off a jetty such as claremont or bicton baths and setting some heavily baited nets (tuna heads would serve u will as would mullet heads or even whole slimey mackeral) around should get you a feed, watch the size in shallow water though have found them to be a bit smaller, if you plan on doing this tonight i have a nice mahi mahi carcus u can have to lure the crabs in to you.
