What's the chance off catching a Sambo at the moment?

 Hello all,

I have my farther and brother visiting from Melbourne this weekend, so hoping to find some jigging action. With the dermersals off limits, what are the chances of getting into the sambos. I know this seems like a dumb question however I haven't fished Perth for long. I hear the 'season' starts soon, is it worth trying the barges? I usually fish Mindarie so would prefer to stay north, however happy to give anything a crack.

Any thoughts would be great

Thanks

Matt

Chances are good, i was out 2 weeks ago and found them off two rocks in the 40's. So i cant see you having a problem around mindarie...try maybe the gemini wreck? Otherwise rottnest way you will find them. Goodluck!!

Do you need to know anything special? I have the mark, just drift and jig/ bait?

Yeah start off sounding around it til you see some fish then jig it. If they are fussy and weather permits anchor just away from the wreck and burley up and they will come to you...dont anchor on top of the wreck though. You should get some at the gemini
