there is a commercial fisher

Sat, 2018-05-26 07:21

there is a commercial fisher , who has property in that area , they have several licences I believe , one is ademersal gill net , but this may be something else is my guess given the descriptions

Duties may include: Directing crew in catching fish, molluscs and crustacea at varying depths using nets, lines, poles, pots and traps. Directing fishing operations by using knowledge about the species sought, fishing areas, seasons and the capabilities of the vessel and crew. Ensuring compliance with regulations pertaining to safety at sea and protection of the marine environment.
You will be away from home for several days or weeks. Normally there is usually a short turnaround before returning to sea. Remuneration will be commensurate with skills and experience.

Just something about the wording in the last bit of info about applying for the position that doesn't look quite right.
