Warnbro sound
Hey all arrived at port Kennedy boat ramp around 630 this morning. After half an hour of moving the weed from the ramp I finally got the boat in at 700. Off I went to my little gps mark I have for some broken ground. I anchored up and started the burley trail. Had a fresh yellowtail out as a drift bait, my Tyrnos on the bottom with a whole squid on one hook and scalie on the other. And then use my whiting rod. First fish in the boat was a pike around 8 o'clock. The fillets came off him for some fresh bait. I couldn't believe what I pulled in next... A juvenile baldchin! Very surprising! Then I battled the wrasse for an hour and decided that it was time to go... Wound up Tyrnos, nothing had touch the baits, then wound my drift bait up to find a big dirty grey ray on it haha figured I'd have one more cast and boom landed this little puppy.... Unsure of what it is? Thinking juvenile samson fish? (See pic) it wasn't a comfortable ride back to the ramp with this short sharp chop... Wind was 6 knots SE and swell was 1.8mtr so why was the chop so bad???
hope you all like my first report..

Miss my tailor fishing moking, it's been too long. I need to take you to that jackpot spot I found too. There should be just enough room for two skis in there. I've got holidays in June I'll keep in touch

The SE would have have been
The SE would have have been pushing the opposite direction to the swell, creating a chop - 1.8m is still a bit of swell causing the rough ride home.
