I was out behind mewstone this morning, on the way back in to Fremantle I got smashed it was very unpleasant can someone help a rookie out and tell me why, was it the wind heading directly into the swell, I really don't want to get caught in that again. Cheers

its a bit like that. if the swell is comming in and the wind the opposite it will get a bit messy if the swell is up and the wind blowing. you need to work out what the weather is supposed to be doing so you have an idea which location your going to fish then your not going to be punching into the slop on the way in. been caught out a few times as well till we got it worked out. trial and error
