crab nets

Hi, I was recently given 8 crab nets and am looking forward to catching some crabs in the river this year, however the nets do not have a steel mesh bottom only net with a ring holding it together, will these be ok or should I buy the ones with the steel mesh? Any input will be apprecieated .
Regards Mal.

steel mesh
buy some chicken wire and put the mesh on the bottom.....a pain in the A** untangling crabs from the netting!

just use the ones you got
just use the ones you got for free. the key is to pull the nets in asap then quickly flip the net into a container like the nylex retangle ones (approx 60ltr) before the crabs start to run about in the net. the quicker you get the crab out the lest chance of tangles.
Get busy living, or get busy dying!

Buy the meshs ones
And give me the net ones
you won't go wrong with the net just flip them over and the crab will drop off ..... make sure you use a plastic bait bag in the bottom ...

Really depends on the
Really depends on the thickness of the nylon mesh as to how bad the crabs get tangled. All my nets are nylon mesh and don't have an issue so I would just use what you have been given.
