Lol. Conrad I'm going out on a Scoopons too, and I've got to say I am nervous about it especially as I'm wanting to use lighter tackle and jigs / placcies. If the boat's looking like a moshpit I'm just going to go heavy.
Still for $99 it is worth a punt, having paid $200 for a couple of metro charters over the years it can't be much worse than those experiences.
Was speaking to the skipper a couple of weeks ago. When scoopon they take more passengers to cover the cost. Normally only take 15-20. On this particular day there was minimal drift and lots of tangles and few fish caught.
Went out on a scoopon with them last time they offered it I think there may have been around 22 onboard by memory? I had a pretty decent day, had a group of mates which I fished in between and out the back so we didn't have much trouble with tangles although I cant say much about the other guys down the side .
I was expecting the worst before going out but in the end it was pretty good with some decent fish landed.

I'm sure this is really obvious, but I dont get it?!
When asked by a non-fisherman 'how many fishing rods do you really need?' the correct answer is either:
n+1 (where n is the number of fishing rods you currently own); or
n-1 (where n is the number of fishing rods which would cause your significant other to dump you.
