small sharks
Submitted by metroLBfisher on Thu, 2013-01-17 13:35
wanting to take a mate for a shark bash soon off the beach to land his first shark, just wondering if anyone had an idea of a good spot which is most likely to produce a few? haven't been for a while metro anyway so not sure of a good spot to try.
any help would be much appreciated :)

I think it might be illegal
I think it might be illegal to Chum up with blood, But "Berley" wink wink, might be okay.
Fishing and catching are two different things. But i want to learn how to catch.

Berley Restrictions
I asked Fisheries for a definitive view on berley use. Actually, it's ok to use it anywhere EXCEPT within the Cottesloe marine reserve area, where it is prohibited entirely. The only other restriction is that it can't contain any bovine material/blood, any mammal flesh with skin attached or any crayfish material (not sure why that is, anyone else know?)

Cott
Have had a few awesome runs this time last year @ cott.
although you have to get there really early or about 12pm to get the top left corner.
most runs we had were between 1-3am
Caught a crayfish there last week on a 6/0 hook and squid - interesting !!!
