Pros are not that bad.
Sometimes they could be more carefull around amature pots. They defiantly don't touch our gear. Glad to see someone having something good to say for a change.

They were dropping pots not far from where i was fishing last week and on their way back past motioned if i was catching anything, i grabbed a metre plus kingfish out the Eski and held it up, the 3 crew on board were fist pumping the air and yahooing. Nice enough blokes i thought!

Now is the time for us to
Now is the time for us to show our solidarity with commercial fishermen, with this shit going on over the nationalisation of the fishery.
At this time, when the allocation of 5/95% is quite well established there should be no reason for any conflict.

Plenty of times I've seen
Plenty of times I've seen the Pro boat back off his pots when Rec fishos come into the area to check thiers.
Got to respect that when you consider it's costing them time and money to do that.

Generally up my way most of the pro boats work deep water other than a few I see in front of my house at Drummonds running pots off.
Most of the guys I know are pretty happy to cooperate even at the islands but plenty on both sides have had bad experiences with interation.
Many on both sides are happy not to tar everyone with the same brush but as the old saying goes
"bad news travels halfway around the world before good news gets one leg out of bed".
We need to protect the fishery, and that involves standing together

Maybe something Recfishwest
Maybe something Recfishwest should look at Rob? Some sort of co operative agreement on issues that afect all of us.
Love the West!

Its pretty well there
Its pretty well there already Andy, 5/95% is pretty well established so there is not much to fight about-unless crays get scarce...

Wafic against us
We catch to much/extend bans / drop limits. Allow spliced stainless steel through to section off ropes for weight reasons of coarse. :)
