the penn sea boy is callums one hey?
im not too fond of that reel but for the amount of times you use it that will be fine.
If your getting it for shore fishing just get a heavy baitcaster.
also
thers a different overhead there and its a tad smaller and it would be better for shore i think its around 100 bucks

Shimano TLD15 or 20
still a few TLD 15 & 20's around at good prices, ( around the $120 ~150 mark)
I seen a few beach boys cast good yards with a TLD15. And a great all round reel
cheers

Lever Drags are often very
Lever Drags are often very average casting reels. Daiwa Saltist is a pretty decent all-rounder. One of those little 20 sizes would be great for inshore and beach use with 30lb.

Saltists cast a mile and have plenty of guts
but they may be out of your budget. Some of the Abu overhead reels will also well suited for what you are after.

agree, the 6500's r light enough for casting all day long. but have not tried any bouncing yet, so no comment on that part. new would cost u abit more. dont get the 7000's.. they r too heavy. esp not the 7000i's (made in China)
