Need opinions. Daiwa Saltist LD20 or Fin Nor Marquesa 12?

I like the look of these 2 reels, mainly for a bit of bottom work in 20-60m of water and maybe a bit of jigging.
Price difference is minimal but the saltist is 200g lighter. Line capacity isn't an issue with either.
Can't decide on which reel?

Have a play with them and see how they feel. Personally I cant stand heavy reels though :p.
If you get the saltist, I would suggest the single speed over the double, its a lot tighter and has instant anti-reverse. I really like the handle and the cranking on the LD20. Its fast, but you can crank up sinkers/pull in lures/etc well with it. The waterproofing isnt the best though, but its not very hard to strip down to clean.

can't comment on the Daiwa
can't comment on the Daiwa model but i've never had a Daiwa reel stay together, a 6500H Saltist, Tierra 4000 and a SOL 2500 all broke something, given up on thier reels, rods are a different story. but i have used a Marquesa 12 and it is a sweet little reel to use either as a light trolling reel, bottom basher or a SP demersal reel, good smooth drag and pretty good capacity and if you can find one on special for around 250 i'd grab on no probs.

Thanks for all the advice,
Thanks for all the advice, everything about the saltist is right but the quality seems questionable?
Definitely leaning towards the Fin Nor, might have to try something different

No Drama's- I look after all my reels and thus far have not had an issue with Daiwa products (over many years).
Go with what your going to be happy with at the end of the day these are all just suggestions but you have to live with it...
