Mulching is good for you!

Two weeks ago, the missus asked me to mulch her front garden. She promised a nice boating related present. Hearing that, I put in the effort in 35deg heat to make the front smiiickkkk!
Today, I received this:
It's a Plueger Salt 60SW series 2 reel with Pflueger illusion 6-10kg 2 piece rod. Awesome!!
Not sure what line I should put on it. Main use for it will be for demersals. I'm thinking 30lb braid? Guys who have the same reel or previous Salt 60 version, what line do you have on it and capacity?

I had the previous Salt 50 version. Was an awesome reel during the 2 years I had it. Lost it overboard...oops.
Do you remember what capacity your ones took?

Good man Ashen
always good to help the missus.
I wouldn't go less than 40lbs. Not because a dhui will bust you in a slug fest, but that big Sambo will ping you really quick on hookup. cheers Pete.

30 or 40 depending on what
30 or 40 depending on what type of braid as well mate, if you can afford Ocea go for it. I run 30 on my Demon blood CJ64 and have pulled up some gooood fish in the 10-13kg range

40lb
Yeah, 40lb seems to be the norm for that size reel.
Andy, $130 or so for 300yards of braid??!?!?![](http://fishwrecked.com/sites/all/libraries/fckeditor/editor/images/smiley/msn/whatchutalkingabout_smile.gif)
Do you have any left in your 1000yard spool? If so, I'm raiding your tackle box next time I drop by! Lol![](http://fishwrecked.com/sites/all/libraries/fckeditor/editor/images/smiley/msn/tounge_smile.gif)

Thanks mate
Had no intention of buying Ocea. I'm sure its a great braid but can't justify the cost...
Thanks for the heads up on the Daiwa! Pretty good price for 500m. And yes, you're right about the reel being abit big for the rod. Can't really complain, especially when its a gift from the missus! Haha! But will find another rod to suit.

Think positive
I'm sure you'll have a "stella" birthday!
Lucky for me, the missus doesn't like jewellery. She prefers handbags and sunglasses. Whereas I have rod racks, she has handbag racks. Lol
