went up this morning. Saw a lot of people but not a lot of action. Far bit of weed to the south but better to the north. Lost a favorite popper In the weed.

cheers fellas,I'm getting a few days up there with the family, borrowed a mates tinny and have my yaks so il see what the weather does, not over fussed about taking his tinny on the ocean unless it's very calm.

I may just focus on river and try lb ocean in evening, I love my bream fishing so il be teaching the old man that with some bait and also sp and hb lures,is there much else in the river to target,my mate gave me his crab nets to to try out too, just wondering is that a waste of time in the river as it doesn't flow through in summer,or is there any chance of a few crustations in shore if the conditions are calm.

Calleja One or two in the 30s would be fine mate, sometimes they pull harder than the bigger ones,my father has never bream fished mate so I think he will be impressed with how much fun they are.i generally release anything I catch in the rivers and  if we can pick up a feed in the ocean that would be a bonus.

bummer about the popper James,it alway seems to be the favourites that get lost too.i think my favourite lure after a recent coral bay trip has to be richter plugs in the chartreuse colour, simple cheap and landed  queenies, traveley and even a nice squid which was not expected at all.

il stick up a report once we get settled in if there's anything to report that is

 Hey mate,

other species we've ran into are mullet, and little grunter as a by catch while targeting bream. I'd probably leave the crab traps at home mate pretty sure there ain't any in the river. Yeah sp's and hb's are the way to go in my opinion tend to get the better ones on artificials, though nothing wrong with soaking a bait either heard of big bream falling to mullet fillets . Good luck hope you and the old man do well
