mono vs braid

just looking for opinions on mono vs braid for general beach fishing from small to large captures, advantages dissadvantages whats your opinion?

So many pros and cons for both and different levels. Basically if im fising for something big i use mono. Braid for the smaller and also braid off boats. To sum it up in less than a paragraph i could type all day about it

Hmm just bait soaking I guess mono is fine, hate to leave braid rolling around in the sand.

Braid for lure casting.

ive always used mono but i can get alot more braid on a reel than mono in the same line class cant i thats my thoughts right now, more line and high line class on the same amount of reel

I use Braid for casting lures and baitcasting. Far better casting distance and less affected by wind and waves than mono.

I only ever use mono (30lb) when lobbing bigger baits for Mulloway and/or Sharks. The little bit of stretch is helpful in holding the sinker in the sand and in handling the headshakes that Mulloway are famous for. Better abrasion resistance also when fishing in reefy areas.
