Had the wife and 15month old in the boat.

sticking right into the beach all the way down to the Kwinana grain terminal, we only saw one, and it was in the cliffs at woodies point, and had a float attached to it.

well we went out yesterday it took us a while to find the salmon but we found them and they were hungry they took just about anything we threw at them. the biggest one i caught was 86cm we had to keep one becoz it swallowed the lure. just wanted to know how is the best way too cook them? or is it just best to feed it to the cats? have pictures but not sure how to get them off the camera to the computer...

I got my first Salmon yesterday, same as Vinniie I had to bring one home due to swallowing lure. I am looking at fish cakes for mine asI can add the flavour in the mix.

The one i took home was just over 3kg dressed.

We got into them yesterday

Mon, 2015-04-27 10:50

We got into them yesterday too in front of Alcoa. The water was boiling when we turned up then some clown drove right through the school!! That split them up so we had to chase them round a bit.

The Mrs caught the first one and had an awesome time. It's the biggest fish she's ever caught. Then I had a crack and hooked up on my bream gear.... 1-3kg Strudwick 2000 series diawa, 6lb braid 8lb leader. Took  1hr 15 to get  it in after chasing it around the sound only to have the leader snap just as the wife grabbed it with the grippers.. They were both caught with a Zman Nuclear Chicken plastic. Both went 76cm & approx 6kg

Weve spent many hours in the sound getting nothing so was great getting rewarded with some action.

Kept both. Dropped off one to the old man who put it straight on the webber. He reckons it's pretty good.

i just finished filleting the second one cut all the dark meat off. Pan fried some with garlic salt, pepper, Olive oil & butter.  Kids love it. I don't mind it either. It's no Dhu or KG but never will be..

Great fun.  I'm hoping to get into them more in the coming weeks.
