Just after fellow Lowrance hook2 reveal users to share there sounding experiences in the 20/30m water depth regions are you happy with your units performance to sound in this water depth or are you asking questions??

Ive got the new hook reveal
Ive got the new hook reveal SplitShot but have been told there 9nly good too 20m so ive upgraded transducer too the 50/200 hdi hopefully see how it goes on Sunday

Lowrance sounder
I gave up on my 9"hok triple shot put it back in its box and and use my old sounder that was a 1000 dollars down the drain

I bought a Hook 7 for my dinghy.
Refresh rate was slow as.
I sold it after a couple of months and bought a HDS 7.
Haven't looked back....the HDS is great.
I've since heard that the Hooks had a slower processor...makes sense based on what I experienced

The hook triple shot units
The hook triple shot units have a 44deg cone angle on the 2d chirp which is a huge spread and no good in depth.

the hds elite currently is at very good price point - and comes with a better ducer than the hook

What a shame
It's a damn shame that such a good brand has introduced an inferior unit that doesn't perform to our fishing requirements if I knew how bad they are I would've spent the extra to get the better more expensive unit.
