line twist

hey folks
A bit of a noob question but just wondering with all questions about fg knots and joining braid to mono/fluro, when you remove the swivel from your line and you're jigging with plastics/metals, do you get much line twist?

Line twist shouldn't be too
Line twist shouldn't be too much of a problem if you rig the lure correctly.
If you are having problems just hang the lure off the rod tip for a few seconds and let it untwist before each cast/drop

I don't do too much jigging,
I don't do too much jigging, but when casting metals etc. I tie a swivel to the end of my leader, and use split rings to attach lure to leader etc. Makes for easy lure changes, and helps reduce line twist I have found (with a spinning reel). This is with an fg knot as braid to leader knot.

Twist
Usually when you tie braid to leader you then put a swivel on the bait or lure end of the leader. I prefer a swivel with an egg snap and then I can put on a bottom rig or a jig or a lure or whatever.

I haven't done much jigging yet myself
But setup would be braid mono with wind on leader, then jig head tied by a loop knot. Can you use snap swivels connecting jig heads?

Loop knot
I tie my jig heads (soft plastics) directly to my leader using a loop knot as you describe and have no issue with line twist.
When jigging or lure fishing tie a swivel to your leader and then connect via split ring.

Using an egg snap isn't very
Using an egg snap isn't very different to using a split ring or a loop knot. I think I started using them when one of the jiggers on here was talking about it a couple of years ago.
