LBG buddy
Submitted by flangies on Tue, 2011-11-22 13:30
Hi all I am chasing a few LBG buddy bipod systems for a couple of setups in the near future. Can anyone help me tracking down a few before I attempt to make some of my own.
Are they sold through stores or is there a bloke that makes them over east?
Alternatively, how do you LBG guys fix your rods to balloon and live-bait.

Its kind of like a bipod
Its kind of like a bipod attached to the rod, to keep the overhead facing up and in a secure position. Not really fussed about my bite alarm as the ratchet is usually loud as anyway.

That second one isn't too bad
That second one isn't too bad but probably a little pricey for me, its for a few spots up north where the ledges won't accomodate pvc rod holders. The chair sort of thing isn't really practical for that sort of work, especially when theres 5-6 rods between a few guys.

You could whip that frame up
You could whip that frame up out of PVC pipe & fittings in about 15mins. Attach a pair of spring clamps (padded) to hold the rod. Should cost you under $30 to make up a couple of them. You could bend it up out of 1/2" pipe easyily to. If your feeling really creative you could make one up out of pine & seal it with polyurethane varnish.
