chinnamens point the mouth of the river follow the path up to the look out or straight over the back to spin for tailor  off the rock or unweighted baits at night for jumbos mullas snapper (hard to stop lots of structure mono over braid unless spinnin) blowies canbe a problem durin the day. or out to the back beach to spin for tailor lures are the go cover ground find wear there hangin which brings me 2 my next spot

blue holes-you can only spin north of the car park south is protected but check in case rules have changed lures have worked well hear for me in the past

whittacarra creek-fresh slabs of tailor and mulla time swell can be a drama but worth the effort dirt road then 10min walk over the sand and your fishin

red bluff big garies round the rock and balloonig off the back lots of pelagics round in that nice warm water thats wear i'd be puttin my time in fresh garies balloons big macks tuna all soughts explore the cliffs, spinand ballloon

frustrations-the other side of the river mouth as long as you have the legs hire a canoe paddle across you can spin for tailorchase mullas in the holes

pot alley-also worth a crack never no what you'll pull out of there but be careful of the waves

baits-tailor skippy tuna slabs garies mullies mullet

rigs-i run a rather long panernoster for casting over a runnin rig unless distance or wind is not a issue

jumbos- spin and cover gound durin the day and generally when were you find one you find more

my go to lures halco twisty 55or70g'bullchop sticks blues code sticks halco poppers and fat r's

cheers mate hope that helps

Red bluff is my fav spot

Red bluff is my fav spot mate ive hoooked big sharks mackies snapper mulloway and got a 93 cm tailor there. Its the best spot i reckon just fish on the beach on the right with a beer in your hand and a big bait on and you will definatly end up in a fight with something decent

 red bluffs good can even

Fri, 2015-06-26 12:09

red bluffs good can even balloon in the southerly and youll be amazed how close the mackies and tuna come in even herd stories of them less then 50m away smashing garies

dont be afraid to fish heavy i run 50 and 80lb braid when chasing mullas 100lb leader

the river will be great for the young bloke bream mulloway giant herring lots of species of small trevaly cod and other fish dont forget your crab pots muddies or bluies

make sure you take a spinning rod to cover ground for tailor i walk for hours chasing these bugger youll see some of the best bits of barri doing this and maybe even snag a jumbo or a smaller model for bait

good luck mate let me no if i can help with anythink else
