Kalbarri
Hey mate
i was up there a few weeks ago and went out on Reefwalker which is the only charter boat. It was a good day out with plenty of fish caught. If you don't like using alveys and mono then take your own combo out.
as for landbased the options are endless, it will be packed at the popular spots then so have a look around and beat the crowd

You could try Murchison boat
You could try Murchison boat hire, hire a boat for a day and do what u want, the bloke is very helpful and will give u locations to try etc. Good boats, and depending how many people u have may be cheaper. For landbased spots, there is heaps of info if you use the search function to the left there, and even on google.
I'll be there too for a week until about the 3rd or 4th of jan

That's a good point
I looked into this myself there are limits on how far you can go depending on which boat you hire. On the charter we fished in close. It will cost 250 each on the charter sobif there is 2 of more of you and your confident on driving out the river mouth it's worth looking at

Wind and swell will be up,
Wind and swell will be up, the river mouth will be suicidal and fishing conditions will be horrible around that time of year. Well that's my experience anyway. Don't get me wrong, I love Kalbarri and I've been there plenty, but two attempts over summer have convinced me to never go there in summer again. Winter is where it's at for Kalbarri.
