Jurien in December

Heading up to Jurien next week for a week and holding no hope at all of being able to chase demersals so hoping FW crew can give me some pointers on other options in December besides demersals if the wind plays the game.

Cheers

Pity the fad isn't there any more

Probably the easiest access to deep water along the coast, only 17nm from the South Passage.  Tuna might well be around though

From recommended track line at where blue meets white on map ,track 263 deg 4.3km spot there.
Or 288 to wreck.also have seen Sailfish at 45/50 mt mark ,troll some liveys for them.
kG in and around south passage.
Diving not recommended around north head ,big bitys their diver taken in passed years.
Watch North Tail in big seas heading out can pick you up before you know it and dump you on your ass.
Lures always good with wire for Spanish if around when heading out to deep.

 Reckon good chance for tuna.

Reckon good chance for tuna. Might be good numbers of whales if I'm not mistaken. Last time I was up at that time of year we just blindly went for a trawl around the direction bank and lucked out with some sbt. Halco laser pro in purple and black outperformed everything else we tried.

The waters still a bit cool

The waters still a bit cool for mackies. Inside the bay there's heaps of the usual squid, whiting and skippy. The reefs have good tailor to chuck poppers too.

Looking unlikely atm. Hopefully they get the fire under control before it affects people and property
