It's very quiet in the sound

Currently sitting out at the d9 no rods have gone off and plenty of boats out here some almost fishing on top of each other haven't heard any cheers of fish being landed very very quiet the chop isn't too bad probably should have brought the tablet to kick back in the cabin to watch a movie

Never fished the D9 myself
Never fished the D9 myself but from what I read on here it sounds like a pretty bad hit rate?! You would think that after the blow we've had they would be pretty hungry. Hopefully they come on the bite soon for ya mate!

Do you think
Do you think Mr Great White might be having a bit of influence on the way the fish are behaving.

not sure on that one did
not sure on that one did speak to another bloke at the ramp and he had been out there since 1600 and only a port jackson and ray for his troubles the water was very murky but schools of sish were showing up on the sounder and we certainly had a nice burley trail going consisting of minced up scalies and herring went thru a 10lt bucket full. Was nice to try the new boat out and I had to admit to my brother having the windcreen wiper did help coming back in I originally thought he was wasting his money having that put on by the dealer but alas big brother was right again

I keep hearing these reports
I keep hearing these reports but everytime I'm there it's the same thing, nothing being caught by others and I can see them on the sounder yet no amount of burley, bait choices, rigs, plastics or jigs will get them
Has been utterly baffled when I hear things like this.
Don't get me wrong I'm not saying they're tall tales but what are we missing?

Maybe just forget about d9
Maybe just forget about d9 all together, once in a blue moon it is Snapper mecca every other day it's just like any other spot in the ocean. Then when you anchor next to 25 other boats what are YOUR chances of actually catching a fish?
