Hit the beach north of two rocks
George and myself set off at 4am and got to the fishing spot at the start of first light
With a bottom rig on the rod, I pick up a nice tailor for the balloon set up later
Then i got hit by a big ray after about 20mins it was on the beach and with hooks removed put back in the water
Grorge pick up a small ray
With balloon rig out and a blue mackie as bait , Greoge seen abig fish hit the bait clean out of the water But no hookup, So in it came some 700meters And 15 mins later we reset the balloon back out to about 500meters this time
Bait got hit again by something alot smaller Maybe a shark
Had trouble with two boat comeing in close. And having to reel fast as not to get cut off

that ray would have given
that ray would have given you a nice workout . just a warm up for the fast retrieval of your line before you hook a boat. keep trying sherbs , you will get another one one day.

get in plague proportions up that way certainly know your in for a fight and like to just dig in and sit there very hard to budge, caught a few with tails chopped off not impressed, made releasing easy though

I think eagle rays are the most exciting rays to catch, the other ones and boring as bat shit to catch, I'd rather catch them tho than nothin I guess;/

But a bit of fun, If only we could see in the water And take our pick which fish to catch
I am after another mackie, But the sea full of sharks ---Maybe in the last 4 trips we have had 8 sharks with twice as meny droping our hooks on us
