Can for the love of god work out how to add a piccie to an existing post.
Im pretty sure this is a good example of a heavy duty trailer for you.
6000kg max load, trailer comes in at 1500kg allowing me 4500 kg of stuff on top.
Ringfeder hitch, Rogers Willex truck suspension and axles, air brakes all round. 280mm ally I beam construction. Bulletproof to say the least. Ludicrously expensive yet worth it in my books.

Looks pretty much same (both Duralite so assume the design would be pretty similair) as my work's cat trailer... except you spent the coin making it legal with truck axles and air brakes. Wish we had done the same.
*side note: their hose wash system doesn't work properly (preasure too low) so I would suggest putting a splitter valve in it so it only does port or starboard at one time.

Works a treat
Never had any issues with it at all. The yard where we keep the boat has got ballistic water pressure!.

60k are you fucking
60k are you fucking joking!!
Do they throw in a free boat for that price?
Surely the components couldn't cost more than 15k?
45 to throw it together?
Correct me if I'm wrong but fuck my brown dog...

Well with it Boony.
$25k one way from C'von to Cairns on the back of a low loader boat only. That's the price it was going to cost me to get the boat over here with no option but to keep her penned at all times. Pens are stupidly expensive anywhere these days and travel lifts are even crazier. I did the research and it was going to be an average of $10k per year for a pen and an annual lift out for a week on the hard with a resplash.
Long term investment meant it's cheaper to spend the loot and get set up properly so I'm not at the mercy of boatyards. $60k plus a truck gives me a boat on a trailer that I can launch and retrieve anytime I want to. The boat is better off living on a trailer too.
it's a truck trailer with truck trailer components, not a muppety undergunned trailer that won't be legal when it's loaded, hence the price. You can't expect to put a a four ton boat on a 4500kg trailer and get away with it, had to jump up to 6000kg to get the job done legally. After towing the boat from C'von to Cairns over the shittiest roads in Australia without missing a beat the price was well worth it.

A mate down in margs works
A mate down in margs works for l parks and wildlife marine Park division, they are getting a 10.5 m Westerberg rigid inflatable.
He showed me a pic of the concept design, nice looking boat but when he told me it was 700k my jaw hit the floor.
If he'd told me it was 350k I would've questioned the price but 700k, holy F!!

Was a bit of a surprise to me the cost of a build once you add up the major components then all the small pieces. Eg.. engines,comms,nav/electronics would be nudging 250k on that calm launch.(the niaads for most vmr groups would be about that also)As for a good alloy trailer for my 6.1m Ali was $12500 for 2t cable brakes or $18k for 3t with elec/hyd brakes. Me being a tradie in heavy industry myself I honestly don't think they would be making huge profits from these

G'day Fox, Don't get me
G'day Fox,
Don't get me wrong, that trailer is bloody unreal.
I guess I'm a bit sick of the price of everything nowadays, everyone seems to be busy so everyone seems to throw a high quote out there and people still seem happy to pay.
Inflation ain't coming down anytime soon imo!
I was questioning the breakdown I guess, components vs labour.
15k components 45 labour?
20/40?
30/30?
Someone on here will have a much better idea than me but I would think components should cost between 15-20k for your set up.
Someone with an engineering shop that specialises in Ali fab wouldn't take long to knock that out, 2-3 weeks plus fucking around with licensing.
Anyway the main thing is you are happy with the result and it does exactly what you required.
I'm glad to hear she travelled as well as it did across the top, would be an expensive nightmare to have a trailer fail a long way from home and be at the mercy of a freight company trying to get your boat home!!
