Has anyone fished the Madeline Shoals off Dampier???

Hi,
I was just looking at the Charts and the area around Madeline Shoals looks like it could be some promising ground. But its a fair distance. Has anyone fished it? Is it worth the trip? Cheers.

Reckon you will get some sharks, and then a few more mate. Don't waste your time unless they are what you are after.

Theres some ground not far from there
I might have a troll around and see what comes up on the sounder. It seems like we have to go a fair way out to get on some good reds country. We get some small to medium ones about 25k's off Point Samson but havent struck any relaible ground for some solid ones. Hopefully getting a new HD10 with a plotter soon so that I can map out some areas. Been running off just the sounder and Navionics on the IPhone. Handy but not the same.

If I recall correctly
a marlin around the 180kg mark took a live bait meant for sharks at the Madelaine Shoals at a FeNaCl many years ago. You never know your luck.

Looks like sunday morning
Looks like sunday morning will be the go mate. Heard a million times that the pipeline holds some good fish, especially when you start getting into some deeper waters. Hoping to hit it up on sunday morning myself, might see you out there.
