Go Pro accesories
Submitted by SandGroper84 on Wed, 2013-01-23 12:46
Gday members,
I've just got myself a Go Pro (hero 2) to try and get some footage of some of the fish I catch, just wondering where the majority of you guys and girls get your accesories from? I'm not overly keen on purchasing online due to a couple bad experiences, so I suppose the real question is, what Perth based store is best for buying accesories? Any help would be much apprieciated.
Regards
Matt

First step would be to
First step would be to figure out what you want. Gopro have a lot of accessory mounts but there are a few suppliers who make extra ones, like the gopole.
You can adapt ones too. Eg the tripod one or similar. I used a surf plug mount and squeezed it into a $5 aluminum pole landing net for example.

Cheers Swompa, Gerry Gibbs
Cheers Swompa, Gerry Gibbs camera house was the way to go, had a pretty good selection of goodies in there.
hlokk I had done a little bit of research of what I wanted to get, got most of what I wanted, just waiting for the head strap mount now.
Anyone else looking for accesories for their GoPro, I highly recomend Gerry Gibbs camera house, gave me a good deal when I meantioned a price different ;)

They're good, you just need to make sure they're pointing in the right direction...

Safety line
Don't forget to tie a safety line to it when using a suction cap on a boat.....

You mean "see what you
You mean "see what you recorded 5 seconds ago". I really hope they update the lag issues :(
Fisharoo: On the gopro, theres a setting to record the videos upside-down. However, now its been recorded, your best bet is to use an editing program and flip it round. On windows, you should be able to use windows movie maker, and on mac, imovie.

I don't have a go pro, but
I don't have a go pro, but on the last fishing trip one of my mate had a pole about 1 meter long that fixes onto his go pro. Took some awesome underwater footage of fish coming close to the boat. I reckon that's pretty cool. However all of the footage he gave me bloody ended up upside down.

pole cam
I saw a freediver on youtube that made a gopro pole from a $10 aluminium hiking stick and the vented helmet strap- its collapsable and ultra light..... great for what you are discribing but also gets great self video while diving etc....
