I am a member, not that I care to much songs a song but maybe go with the revamped old song.
IMO every team besides Adelaide that's come into the comp in the last 20 odd years has a crap song compared to the old teams

I think this, like the new
I think this, like the new jumpers, has a much more "traditional footy club" feel about it, which i like. footy is about tradition. not that i think much of the club's but i love the 'sound' of the richmond song, the bombers song and i hate hate hate to admit it the collingwood song. let's keep the tradition!

I like the revamped one
I'm a proud, loyal, passionate member - but I can't find much in the Eskimo Joe song to like - it sounds nearly as gay as the Gold Coast Suns song...
I don't see much wrong with the original Heave Ho, but the revamped one does have better sound... It will have my vote.
Besides, at my age, it's difficult to learn the words to a new song... and my stubby holder plays the old one anyway! :)
Save the Whales! May as well - they won't fit in my catch bag!!!

My short term memory loss makes it easy to learn new things (just have trouble remembering them afterwards lol). i have a very remote family connection to the EJ boys (well not really - my sister is really good friends with the lead singer's mum!) so probably a bit biased. but I still love the song. Makes me want to stand proud and march every time I play it!

I just get really jacked off that other teams supporters have to put their unwanted opinions into a conversation intended for Freo supporters. I could say a few choice words about a few other clubs if i wanted to, but i try not to interfer with their constructive conversations about their clubs. so what, freo may not have had the success yet that other clubs have had, but our supporters are loyal, are passionate and will very much enjoy the success when it comes our way.

I dont care much for either, and unlike some on here I started
the eagles, and they are my favourite in derby's. But by far my second favvourite teams is Freo, and i scream myself hoarse when the win. I just cant get the idea that sandgropers dont stay sandgropers, then we will kick ass with the eastern staters. Now bring that on IMO.

The EJ song sounds a bit better
now that Ive listened to it again, still think the revamp by the original artist is the best though.... but dosent matter what it is you wont be hearing after any derbies for a while

I do go to the games. short memories every one! two years ago the eagles won their first wooden spoon and the dockers made the preliminary final. this year the eagles improved beyond everyone's expectation. well done to them. please remember that despite a horrific run of injuries, freo were still in the top eight with a few rounds to go. they only had 23 players to select a team from in round 24. i think they did exceptionally well to remain in contention for the time they did. this year is a new season for all clubs and I look forward to both wa teams winning preliminary finals in 2012 with kicks after the final siren and giving as much pain to the vics as possible and then playing a derby GF! Bring it on!
