Free bee swarm

Yet another swarm in the boat if anyone can use it.   Quinns rocks. Used a guy off gumtree last time to remove another but he was a waste of time.  These one have set up camp on top of a camphor stick and dont care.  Feel sorry about bombing them if no one can use them.  Cheers anypuddle.

Good onya for making an effort to relocate the critters. Most people wouldn't bother.

I once was bush walking when a massive swarm passed by. Stood still and covered my face with my arms and they bounced off harmlessly as they passed. Bonus as I am very allergic. Last time I tried to gently "relocate" a bee from inside a room my hand was inflated like a balloon for a week!

Buggers

Tue, 2017-10-31 21:04

Little buggers are everywhere, I've had my second swarm in three weeks form a hive in the cold saw cabinet at the rear of my workshop. A guy at work is a beekeeper, I'll ask him tomorrow if he wants your lot anypuddle.

Sorry

Sorry anypuddle, he can't take any more. He suggested advertising for free removal on gumtree, reckons heaps of crew are chasing a swarm for their hives.

Nice protected niche......they will need to be removed by an apiarist......we need every swarm we can get where elsewhere in the world bees are in serious decline. WA exports bees as they are regarded so highly

Good on you anypuddle

From what I have read bees world wide are in decline and the reason for this phenomena is not understood, if you can save the swarm from destruction I think you are doing a real good thing.

May good karma come your way for what you are doing.

I have heard the world wide

Thu, 2017-11-02 05:46

I have heard the world wide bee issue is due to a small mite that hasnt got to australia yet.  Hope it never does.  Well done on relocating rather than destroying

 There is a property along

Thu, 2017-11-02 05:48

There is a property along west swan road (on the river side) that in amongst all the other stuff he has lots of bee hives.  Not sure if he uses them and could relocate your swarm, or just sells them.
