Hey guys,
Going out fishing on a mates boat saturday, i dont really get the oppurtunity to go out much went out once on the long weekend got a few good hook ups.
He isnt really familiar with too many spots only new to the game!
we are thinking of heading out from Two Rocks early morning saturday was wondering if anyone could point us in the right direction of getting something half decent for once as we want to make the most of it living SOR and not getting on a boat often at all.
Not asking exact coordinates or anything, was just wondering where abouts or how deep etc.
looking at targetting pinkies, dhu's or baldchin just some nice table fish :)
Cheers,
Jamie

Next time boys head NW of the
Next time boys head NW of the Marina in my opinion.
I have never had much luck going South over the years.
Heading 10-15nm North West you start hitting some really decent ground. I am unsure of your boat size and fuel capacity but Ive been fishing the 50's latley and doing well. Also investment in a good quality sounder is a must, I spend more time sounding the ground first than I do drifting it.
Just pick your day and spend time exploring a few contour lines and potential lumps.
What size boat have you got? Also fuel capacity?

two rocks
this time of year even the 30"s(30 metres) can be productive and you certainly dont have to travel far to get amongst some decent demersals just follow the 30m contour on your plotter(if you have one) and sound slowly for any lumps or patches of rough ground, or alternatively(for a bit of fun) the two or 3 roundish or oval shaped contour lines marked on most plotter map cards in the 30/40m area hold samsonfish most of the year, ideally anchoring on the most prominent one slightly nw of the marina and about 9 miles out(rises to 26m ot of 35m) will see you into as many samsons as your arms can take with the help of some berley in the form of mulie cubes. good luck . cheers
