Fishing around Garvey Park

I went for a walk with the missus around Garvey Park and noticed quite a few jetties/sandbanks and structure, water didn't look too pleasant though.

Just wondering if its worth throwing a line for catch and release and what people might be catching around that area?

Thanks,

I've found Garvey Park to be pretty hot and cold. I've had some good sessions on bream and soapie mulloway there with the odd flathead thrown in the mix. Found grub style soft plastics to work excellent.

Lived to fight again, however never caught it again.

Always a good area to chase bream, but this time of the year it can be hard to find them with all the fresh water.
Flick plastics or prawns along the drop offs and snags. Flathead can sit along the sand banks too .

Thanks guys,

Next time the missus drags me there for a walk I might take the rod with me. I usually fish with bait but might try the soft plastics next hit out :)
