Esperance advice on areas to fish
Submitted by surfymuzz on Thu, 2018-12-27 21:57
Hey guys me and the misso are heading to Esperance tomorrow in our 5.8m Haines. The area looks incredible with so much ground it’s overwhelming. Could anyone point us in the right direction for areas to jig/bait fish?
Any help would be greatly appreciated!
Thanks guys!

Depends
depends on the day mate. I’ve never been out there but could easily do a 50 nautical mile round trip

North Western side of Sandy Hook Island (comes straight up from 40m) and the middle ground between Hook Island, Remark Island and Frederick Island.
Long way to go and make sure you have an epirb though we were catching Nannigai, Harli's and other bits and pieces. I know they have caught Dhuies out there.

Head out E or SE direction
Head out E or SE direction so you can come back in with the strong SE seabreeze that comes in every day around lunchtime. Get out early and back in early. There is a few SBT around but not many yet....worth a troll around Cull, Charlie and Observatory islands.
