good to see that you pulled the mess in, it would have made a hell of a mess to get out of you prop if you or some one else had run over it. If there are any numbers on the floats you can notify fisheries and they will contact the owner of your find.

the rope was tied in with the floats that were still attached to the Cray pot. Nah I didn't take the float number. Just threw the rope in the boat. So I have a few metres of rope now that my uncle will be busy untangling for the net few weeks. Looks like it had been there for a week or two. Very lucky no one ran into it. You'd be devistated if you ran into that at night time. If anyone wants a few good lengths of rope pm me.
