electric trailer winch
Submitted by slam on Thu, 2019-04-11 12:15
Hey all,
Just back on the wagon after a few too many years away from boating and fishing. As my years have go on, finding a tad harder to pull boat up on manual winch. Have been reading all old posts on winches but was wondering if any new winches on the market are worth looking at?
I see many people dont think they are worth it but my heart says otherwise!!!

My last boat had a electric
My last boat had a electric winch, it was basically a cheap 4x4 winch that had a cordless remote control. The winch was powered by an Anderson plug to the rear of the cruiser. When I bought the boat it was one of the first things I was going to change. However, after using it a few times I became quite fond of it and was still on the boat three years later when I sold it. It certainly was not fast but very easy to use especially with the remote. Actually thinking of the same set up for my new boat

Yep- More than happy with
Yep- More than happy with Ian's winch. Great that I don't have to submerge trailer into the salt water when whiching the boat onto trailer.
Lots of great things to like about his winches and to like about Ian.
I heard he donated one of his Winches to the local Fishing Club.
Great bloke......
