had the flu since Saturday tried every type of cold and flu tablet and still crook wife mixed up some secret Thai medicine and I am still crook any one out there got a cure , if yes I will nominate you for a Nobel prize in medical cures

Haven't had the flu in years, so sorry no magic cures but used to just load up on cold and flu tablets and disappear under the covers till it passed.

when I got blown to shit working up on the burrup 1 of my mates some how got him self in the pre op room while I was moaning and groining just before I was taken in to surgery to be stabilized before being flown to Perth the last thing I heard him say was " nurse can you put some cement in one of those drips to harden him up"

mate gargle warm salty water 4-5 times a day for sore throat, swallow chunks of garlic 2 or 3 cloves chopped into managable size bits get the hottest vindaloo you can find eat that stay warm with a big jacket and straight to bed sweat it out works for me also when i was out bush i'd make a horrible concocion of garlic chilli ginger and down it but it worked my natural remidies have worked for years cold and flus just ease it for a couple hours but defently help when you gotta work garlic vindaloo sleep

Second that opinion, you need to strengthen your natural immune system. Hot chilli food and garlic, orange juice and warmth/rest. I bloody well hate to sound like such a hippie but old fashioned natural remedies are FAR better than antibiotics for colds/flu etc. IN MY OPINION. You have to give them time but they work.

The other week I pinched a nerve in my neck, put off gettin a 'tune up' then got crook with a cold, had to get the back sorted, back at work next day, all good, that night, cold sweats, fever etc, next week I was gettin over and ear, chest and for the first time, a sinus infection. My mrs warned me to not get massaged, it spreads infection. She also told me to get my back sorted days before.

Had chesty bug for 6 months in panna couldn't shift it, town docs prescribed drugs didn't work, living in aircon....FIFO doc came to town said eat vitamin c tablets like lollies, have oranges it will fix it....certainly did, have not had the bug back....sister did the same back in NZ 6months ago...got rid of a chesty cough she had for months as we'll....give it a go what have you to loose....other thing we now do...use ear candles, works a tread to clear sinuses....

Old school remedy i've used for years to strengthen the immune system, a multi vitamin, vitamin c chewable tabs ( 3 - 4 at once ) and 2 garlic and horseradish capsules 3 times a day. Also, its best to chew the vit c tabs after downing the garlic and horseradish caps. . . . . . . However, you'll find if you take 1 multi, 1 vit c and 1 g and h cap each morning as a daily routine you won't get another cold or flu again.

But when I did my cure was easy, three lemons squeezed into a glass (a BIG glass) then top up to the rim with pure malt scotch - stir and sip slowly until all gone and then go to bed and sleep off the flu - hell if it don't work you feel a bloody sight better in any event

just spent 5 weeks in Thailand and normally get the spews and bum water at least once nothing this time got back to perth Friday morn Friday night the flu and even had a flu shot 2 months ago

Yeah was gonna say that Timmbo. Not much you can do about either but rest up and try not give it to any one else. Just need to be aware of chest infection that's something the doc can treat colds and flu you can't and can only temorarily minimise the symptoms. Just HTFU ;) ya bunch of sooks.
