not gonna mention wen it happened but im so glad to hear an investigation was launched regarding the theft of ppls hard earnt ct crays. the boats in question were reported and evidence inc gps points and float id and rego of boat and vehicles have been passed on to help nail these prix. please anyone who suspects any wrong doing eg pull too many pots etc please report it to fisheries immediately include as much evidence as u can inc boat rego, description of ppl or photo and pot id number and gps points car rego etc fisheries are fully aware of the problem but its a big ocean so do what u can without risking your safety, to make sure these buggas go down hard. thanks and sorry bout spelling but fone upload is shit lol j happy fishn merry christmas to all fw and ft friends

last 2 days ..i have been abused diving in an area ...guess what they pulled there pots 1 pot had 8 1 pot was full ...i always wait for pros to do there pots then i jump in around 10am..just in case people think the worst...(which i never do)...just got to be real carefull with name and blame...if you know there doing it get a photo ..dont get me wrong i used to hate paying for bait,fuel and time for others to take...that is fucked... thats why i dive now no hassels...its instant results...all the best i hope you get plenty and the boat your on about gets done.....fisheries cant be everywhere all the time ...keep good range wait and watch (photo there done) + witness

its not hard,I got someone 2 years back...look through binos ,,(west out to sea) they always look for boats coming out ..once they start pulling hammer towards them...just a normal digital cam ..follow them in call fisheries on way in...i seem to remember reading a name and blame with snapper season?????

Take pics of the offending rope and floats, the ID must be visible in the pics plus the lats and longs from your Gps proving they were set in a marked navigation channel and drop in in to either Dept of Transport at Hilliarys or Freo or any Fisheries dept.

my mate had all 12 of theirs stolen out of their boat! biggest one was over 3kg too, about 5 others around that size. left it on the shore at rotto and came back about an hour later and the tank was empty, nothing else was stolen though

we live in world that people dont give a fuck about other people, this years cray season has been shit to be honest ( i have done ok myself only because im willing to put in a 3 hour drive return trip), and there are some people who go and pull there pots and get sweet fa so there for they think i might pull other peoples pots and see what they have, all i can say is karma is a bitch and i hope it bites u in the ass and your boat!!!!

They had literally their head ripped off at the boat ramp and were taken to hospital via ambulance. Not in a good state.
People are now watching from shore and boats.

Whether it be cray pots, someone's house, a bag of lollies or an old lady's handbag, there's just no respect left for other people or their property.
The world would be a better place if there was a real fear of punishment.
There's too many rules made up by weak-as-piss do-gooders that read too many books, and base all their decisions on unfounded theory.
$25k fine ? Chances are it'd be paid with drug money / hocked stolen goods - if at all.
And a few crays worth SFA ?
It ain't just the crays - it's the time & effort people put in to earn the privilege of being able to put a few pots in.
People work hard enough as it is to have to suffer the frustration of being shafted when they're trying to live a little - doing something they work hard to do.
The bloke who snotted him was probably hanging out for the weekend to arrive !
I'd bet any poll on whether the bloke who bashed the cray thief should get let off or not would be weighted heavily for him to get off.

Unwanted dive buddies this cray season
Saw some champions the other day driving along ( in a pretty flash boat too) and diving all the cray pot floats off bunbury, i cruised up to a spot jumped over and when i surface there are 3 boats right on top of me ! I moved a mile or two away same thing happens again - exact same cray pot diving legends . The next dive i just jumped over on abig sand flat to test my theory and had 3 losers all drop their picks right next to me and dive in . Must be getting extra desperate this year , are we allowed to name and shame these parasites on the forum ?

My pots now have quiite a few others around them, but each time i go out (usually once a week) there are crays in the pots. 10 Yesterday and first sign of the whites too
