I put mine in on Saturday and pulled them out on Sunday because of the weather, got a few strange looks at the boat ramp. Glad I did it now managed three crays cant complain.
This heavy wind is not a good start to the season. I agree with you little johnny there will be pots far and wide from where people put them in and I think a good place to start looking for them will be high and dry up on the beach.
Did anyone else see the pot some genius has put in the channel out from hillaries already yesterday? That is bound to go missing from someone's rope cutters, then it will be the accusation of pot stealers.
I might "steal" those ones ol mate has put right in the middle of the channel out of hillarys's at about 30 knots using my 250 hp pot puller if the wind tonite has not already moved them.....
Now 3 pots pretty much dead in the middle of the channel at mindarie all with about 15m floating on the surface fucken idiot wouldnt be suprised if someone is to give them a quick snip
went and checked my pots on sunday after a 8 day soak, all pots exactly where i left them. Only 1 pot had crays but that is due to my poor placement have moved pots around abit to try and fix that but overall i was happy to see that if they are weighted right they don't move.
Seen 4 stuck ones today . New ropes 1 buried half way to neck. Others jammed and ropes rapped around rocks. Left them alone. Heaps of roaches around , now dought going to be massive run this year.

Nothing like driving through the Gap negotiating breaking waves 60m either side of you as well as cray pots.
