Cranka Crab Lures
Has any one any solid news on cranka crab lures, these things are suppost to be the next best thing to come onto the market since sliced bread, only one problem though. They havn't come onto the market. Last year 2012 they won an award at the big fishing grear show over the east and every body was singing the praises of these new revolutionary lures that were going to slay black bream in the the millions along with a host of other species. In november i sent an Email to the cranka crab troops asking about when this lure was going to be released etc and basically received a reply that some manafacturing problems needed to be over come and this was taking time. If you look at their web site it is quite out of date and makes no mention of a proposed release date for their cranka crab lures.
I personly have a view of the situation and that view is not health, can any of the F/W sponsers through some accurate light on this company and their product, the two guys who run the show appear to be upright honest types but...

Steersy & the rest of the
Steersy & the rest of the Cranka crew are very highly regarded & are fantastic to deal with. They have had genuine trouble with their manufacturer & have delayed the release of both the Cranka Crab & Cranka Minnow to get these problems sorted out. They are the sort of company that would rather delay a products release & get it right than rush it through & out out a lesser quality product.

No plugging, I'm not
No plugging, I'm not affiliated with them in any way & don't know any of them personally. If you were to do a little research you would soon discover that the Cranka crew is made up of some of the most respected anglers in this country. You might like to check some facts before you accuse peopl of plugging companies.
By the way I've just rejoined this forum so it's not actually my first post.

Now I remember why I
Facts are facts mate, deal with it. Unless of course you can tell me how many other tackle company CEO's you can contact directly & they will get back to you within a day or two & will go out of thier way to deal with product concerns or problems. Didn't think so. They are highly respected, one of the top teams in the australian bream scene.
Do your research & then you can look back on how stupid you are being.

"Cranka Crab & Cranka Minnow"
"Cranka Crab & Cranka Minnow" don't know anyone who would capitalize the crab and minnow.. unless they had some sort of affiliation but I believe you. Just going to to finish my bowl of Uncle Toby's 4 Wholegrain Cheerios and go to work.
On another note, does anyone know if the body is soft plastic or hard plastic on the crabs? Are the arms soft?

The Crabs main body is hard plastic, The legs are a durable soft plastic and the claws are a durable foam so the claws float upright to make it look like a defending crab. Cool little bit of gear.

The reason I mentioned both
The reason I mentioned both lures is because they are due on shelves at pretty much the same time. The owners of Cranka are regular posters on another competing website & that's where I get my information. I figured it would be pretty poor form just to link the OP to that site & instead offered up the information I know. Since when has supporting an aussie company that offers a quality product at a good price been "pluggin"?
What I did was no different to any of you lot recommending a tackle store or reel manufacturer that's good to deal with & relaying your experiences about it. Something that I see on here all the time.
The OP has all the info I can provide so I don't need to reply in this thread again. The rest of you that have double standards, get over yourselves.

Cranka
Hey guys the Cranka Crabs and Minnows are a great product and sure to be a winner. We placed our order for these last year and we will recieve our stocks when the first order is sent to WA. A more exact update on the progress is that the Cranka Crabs are being made right now as we speak. We are expecting to recieve stocks approximately end of March. Without going into too much detail, Cranka just wanted to make sure that the tooling was up to scratch to make the lures and the production run just made is spot on.
As for the Cranka Minnows we will be expecting our stocks in 7-10 days.
If anyone has any Questions about the Cranka lures feel free to PM us at the shop.
