cliff Jig pic

After a post on the for sale a couple of crew asked for a pic. Plus my PB land based baldy lifted with it. Before digital cameras. Good luck gaffing or straight lifting that from 20 metres. Have lifted 5 to 5.5kg bur after that it gets a bit touch and go.

MK 1 tackleback design right

MK 1 tackleback design right there! Good work

Where was your patent application. The only issue I can perceive is if the sprung steel slips past the swivel on retrieve up the cliff.

IM guessing you didnt get much of an issue with aerodynamic drag fromt he rope as the lead lumps look pretty hefy. i have some grunt rope from buinnings (35kg braking strain-ish) which is relatively low diameter - ~ 7mm i was planning to use.

You need to use quality hooks and terminal tackle. Also helps to have the rope uncoiled as often you only get one chance in between waves, plus stay safe as no fish is worth dying for.
