Best Route Mandurah to Kalbarri tomorrow?

Hi Guys,
Heading straight up to Kalbarri at 2am tomorrow morning by car from Mandurah, no trailer or sightseeing.
I'm Guessing taking Roe, Great Northern & Brand would be my best option rather than IOD?
Wish to avoid as many critters and road works as possible (Nomads should be tucked in).
Cheers!

I went through the wed night. Nothing to report. Couple of foxes was all the life I saw.
Anywhere north of billabong is appalling at night though. So many Roos around at the moment.
Does anyone know where the love of god goes, when the waves turn the minutes to hours?

I live in Dawesville and when I was coming back from dongara I typed in my address into the gps and they was only 5 Kay's different between the two routes. I reckon there would be more wildlife on the coast road but there might be a bit of fog around gin gin which will slow you down. It can get pretty thick at times.

brand all the way
I live in Gero now and will never go down the coast road again. much to narrow and very few straights. People get frustrated and start doing dumb sh*t. Grew up in kalbarri thou, just need to focus a bit more on that last 23km of national park, thats where i have hit 95% of my roos along that road.
When we head south we go along the brand, jump onto neaves road at Muchea then down the freeway if heading to/from the city. if heading further south, i tend to head east of the city around the ROE highway to avoid all the city folk.
That time of the night should be sweet thou to wheel northbound all the way up freeway. I have seen some monster roos along the neaves road also, but if ya got a decent bullbar, should be fine :)
