Beach and Rock Spots

Hey everyone I'm new to the site and I'm planning a 4wd road trip from Esprence to Broome. I was going to travel along the coastline and do as much fishing a possable. I'm going to hit up place's like Cape le Grand, Brusselton, Nambung, Kalbarri, Carnarvon, Exmouth and many more. As I from South Australia I don't no where your local big game land based spots are and we chase diffrent species. I just been reading to find out whats in your neck of the woods. Would anyone be able to help me out with some good land based spots along the W.A. coastline(Remote or City). I usally fish remote Surf beach's for Sharks and Mulloway and Rock areas with leadges chasing Snapper, Brim, Salmon ect. So if someone could help me out with some local knowledge that would be fantastic. Thanks and happy fishing

My suggestion would be Reef

My suggestion would be Reef Beach, just west of Bremer Bay. There is also Fosters Bch and Dillion Bay close by but Reef Beach is notorious for sharks at night in the deep gullies between the shore and fringing reef .

There is also usually the odd salmon hanging around .

The track in is a bit slow going at times but not difficult ..dont take a caravan in.. a camper trailer would be ok. but check out the sandy hill down to the beach before you go down. Turn off the main rd into Bremer .. mostly easy sand track with some dead slow stony bits.

Sounds like a great trip...

Cheers.  Pete

If you can make it to

If you can make it to YALATA (SA) there are some monster Mullaway there. Also heading to the Cliffs closer to Esperance, You will  get Pinkies, shark, Mullaway all from the beach. The other side of Esperance you can head out to Roses Beach, make sure you use your best beach driving cos the sand gets pretty soft, but you will also get some big fish out that way... Have fun...

When are you planning to start your trip ? When it gets closer make contact with some of the members and I'm sure there are some that would like to show you their spots rather than put them out for the whole world to see

When

Wed, 2011-11-02 07:59

I'm going to leave around spring time next year and hopefully make it up North by winter time for the dry season. Thank you for all the post so far and I will check out Steep point, Quobba, Rose's, Pinkies, Reef beach and Exmouth on Google. Yatala is off the hook if anyone wants to cross the boader but you have to book and the road house has shut down so stock up before.  It has been a dream of mine to do this W.A. trip and I want to  hit up as much epic fishing spots as I can.
