Bagged out plus some

The alarm went off at 5 . Sandy said you want another hours sleep. So next alarm went off at 6 . A quick coffee and boat loaded we hit the water just after 7.  The seas were reasonable and with the clouds off in the distance we headed out to a spot we found last week. We arrived at a location andvset the drift to check things out. Deciding to anchor up instead of just drifting.

First line down Sandy brings up a nice kg. Then the wrasse and skippy moved in . While there the clouds came over and heaps of rain but the seas were flat as with hardly a breath of wind. After a while we had a visitor that stayed around for about 1/2  hour just cruising around checking things out. Estimated his size around the 4 mtr mark. He came within about 2 mtrs from the boat and  as always the camera wasnt handy.

Gave up on the anchor after our visitor and set our drifts. With very little wind all day it made it a pleasant day out and managed to bag out plus a few others to finish the day. A couple of undersize fish were returned to fight another day . The trip back was a breeze vruisong in on 25 knots.

Couldnt have asked for a nicer day on the water

What depth was the visitor in, just another layer of dust to gather on the dive tanks.

cheers Ads, not too sure what species it was  but it was big. Sandy mentioned our camera was an underwater camera but no way was i putting any part of me in the water let alone jump in. i have swam with sharks but that ones just a touch too big.

quite happy with the haul. only been out about 5 times out of mandurah and been lucky to find the fish.
