You have to have stayed on a island! Rotto, Carnac, islands off carnarvon ect.. If your in a smaller boat with no swags might be a give away! Iv heard of guys have fish taken off them coming back from the abrolhos cause your not aloud to camp on the islands so tecnicly your not entitled to 2 days bag limits. Depends where you launch from to! Could be a bit hard saying you stayed over night if your parking tickets for 5-6 that morning

You can camp on Dirk Hartog but not on the other 3, Koks, Bernier or Dorre, You may go ashore but camping on the islands is a big no no

Dhu have a boat limit, so check that you are limited to two before you land them irrespective to the number of days.

Log on to sea rescue and do regular updates on your position during the night if they provide 24 hour cover.

 not up here, bag limits

Sun, 2013-03-31 14:12

not up here, bag limits apply then and there, only place you are allowed to have more fish in your possesion is at home in your freezer. Say I go out for a overnighter for 2 days and catch 10 barra daily limit is 5 ( depending which river you caught them) and I get pulled over I will loose my car/boat/and whatever else is associated with the catch.

Actually i'll think you'll find possession limits are constant statewide mate (apart from the Abrolhos islands). Possession limit is 2 days bag limit of whole fish or 20kg of fillets, or 10kg of fillets and one days bag of whole fishes. Barramundi are a special exception... their possession limit is one days bag only.

Im assuming your somewhere in northen WA, since this is mostly a WA website and we're talking about wa bag limits. Bag limit for barra in WA is 2 per person now btw... and posession limit is 2.
