Anyone using the Gulp Squid Vicious plastics

I used a couple yesterday at 5 fathom and as soon as they hit the bottom they were torn to shreds, literally. I was left with just a small lump of red and green plastic on the hook about 2cm long. Unfortunately my hook was toooo damned big. Any suggestions on hook size and type. By the way I was using them on a paternoster rig up.

That's why I never use gulp!    I'm not a pro with plastics by any measure, but gulps get hit once and are destroyed.  Much better off with zman, mcCarthy, snapbacks etc.  much more durable, and easier to rig up IMO too.

Hook size, get a jig head to match.  The guys in the tackle shop will help you match them.
